I remember the night this screened at The Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. We won best film, which is so cool. It was a pretty chaotic time for me, I ran into someone I had been 'seeing' who was there with someone he was 'seeing', all the while he had an actual girlfriend in Toronto. Low self esteem kept me caring at all what he thought of me, cuz really?? There was another someone else I had a brief fling with, who clearly had a drinking problem, who wanted to go home with me. I woke up to about 30 missed calls from him and then never heard from him again. The 'I am so fucking sick of men' at the end of this, was very heartfelt.

48 hour film festival Vancouver, a million years ago. Makes me smile and miss Brad Sihvon, he was amazing, hard to believe he's been gone for 16 years. For all of us who knew and loved Brad it's easy to tap into the visceral memory of his incredible dry wit, his love for those he loved and his sharp observations of those he didn't. He worked so hard and cared so much.
